The Matamoras – Westfall Republican Committee is now accepting applications along with essays through November 17th, 2023 for the annual Robert “Bob” Potenza Scholarship. It is in memory of an amazing former resident of Matamoras who was a World War II veteran, a member of the Hope Church, and an avid volunteer with many organizations, including the Matamoras-Westfall Republican Club. At the age of 80, he even served the Matamoras Borough as a past Councilman. Age was not a limiting factor. Bob had a big heart for people and his community.
This scholarship was established by the Matamoras – Westfall Republican Club in remembrance of Bob’s kind heartedness and service.
